Ireland has been listed as the best country in terms of the COVID-19 pandemic & Delta variant handling in Bloomberg’s Monthly Covid Resilience Report, overtaking Norway from the top spot on the August edition.
This report is compiled by Bloomberg by looking at the top 53 biggest economies of the World and is calculated using 12 indicators including the quality of the healthcare system, overall vaccination coverage, progression towards restarting travel and tourism and the easing of border restrictions. The report notes that Ireland’s change in position is largely due to having the world’s best vaccination rates.
